Eagle Crest 2010

We love going to Eagle Crest! There's so many fun things to do. I thought you all might like to know how we spend our time when we head over to the condo........
We eat.....
We swim (or surf, as Caden is doing!).....
We bathe in the jetted bath tub......
We swim some more........
We eat some more........
We get crazy!
We go exploring......
We hang out with the ones we love the most.......
We convince eachother that we're having a really great time :)
We swim some more.......
We try to stay warm in the pool.......
And we get to push daddy underwater, over and over again :)

Ice cream makes me happy!

What's better than an ice cream cone?! I mean, really? For me, ice cream is it :) It's my favorite treat. It seems as though I've passed this love onto Caden. He would rather have ice cream than cake anyday! Here's a few shots of Caden enjoying his ice cream.....

Pacifier Love.....

There are few things that thrill Brock like his pacifier and his beddy. He loves them both so much :) Nigel and I love them too. They make Brock sit happily and quietly when nothing else will do the trick ;) And, not only is the pacifier great when you need some peace and quiet.......it's also a really fun chew toy!

He's so silly :)

Still not quite in there right :)

"No more pictures, Mom!"

Ahh, the perfect combination :)

Beach Trip!

My parents rented a great little beach condo for a weekend and everyone was invited! Luckily, not everyone could make it because it would have been a little cramped ;) But, I packed up the boys (Nigel stayed home to work), Erika and Jude came, Mom and Dad, and my grandma. We headed up to Long Beach, Washington and had a WONDERFUL weekend :) Well, mostly wonderful - minus the excrutiating knee pain that made it hard to walk for me the whole weekend. But, pain aside, it was great. We would have enjoyed a little more sunshine, but it didn't really rain, so you can't complain! Here's a little peek into our great beach weekend!
Jude enjoying some Cheerios for breakfast! Look at that HUGE bite!
Brock enjoying his first time walking on the beach :) He wasn't so sure about putting his toes in the sand, but once he got over that, he was good to go!
Playing in the water.....there was a sand castle building contest going on the weekend that we were there, so they had dug out all of these little "pools" to retrieve water from. It worked out perfectly for playing in the water! It was a little (tiny bit) warmer than the ocean, and no fear of those sneaky waves!
Caden and Brock have no fear about playing in cold water! They had so much fun! We couldn't convince Jude to get in, though.
At least Jude decided that walking in the sand was ok. It took a lot of convincing him that nothing bad would happen if he walked in it! He still enjoyed being carried more than walking, though :)
A sweet little moment between Papa and Jude!
The only castle left standing! We watched them start building all of the sand castles and were so excited to see the finished products - but, by the time we got back down to see them, they had all been washed away by the tide! So bummed, but this one was really cool!
Caden LOVED playing in the waves. He got to skip out on his nap time and come hang out with Papa, Mommy, Erika and Jude to see the one remaining sand castle. He spent most of the time just jumping around and loving life!
I didn't realize until I got home and loaded the pictures on the computer that I got this great sequence of him jumping.......here he goes......
Ready for launch.......
Cleared for take-off......
And BLAST OFF!!!!!
Besides being at the water, we had fun playing at the condo - the boys were in their fort....
And of course, the carousel. They all loved it!

Jude loved it so much that he was devastated by the news that he had to get off. Poor little guy!

Hot Day?! Splash Park!

Looking for something fun to do on a hot day that will cool you off?? I highly reccommend finding a splash park! I took Caden when I was pregnant with Brock and he wasn't really thrilled with it. He wasn't into cold water then. He just kept asking me where the slide was. But, he now realizes just how much fun a HUGE sprinkler pad can be! Erika and I met at the park with all 3 of our little boys in tow. Jude is just like Caden was and wasn't too sure about the cold water. He LOVED walking around the sprinkler part when they weren't turned on, but he did not want to get wet. Brock mostly loved it, but a few times was a little annoyed by the water splashing him. I'd say it was definitely Caden's day, though :) He had so much fun.
In the ring, surrounded by water!
Running through.....
Sitting on the sprinklers...
Brock getting splashed :)
Jude walking around the dry parts!
Look at that little stud :)

Brothers...

"Brothers don't necessarily have to say anything to each other - they can sit in a room and be together and just be completely comfortable with each other."

A day out with Daddy....

Caden's favorite thing to do with Nigel is go on adventures. Well, that's not true. EVERYTHING that Caden does with Nigel is his favorite thing to do with him. He loves hanging out with Nigel more than anything else in the world. They make everything so exciting, so adventurous, so EPIC :) But, going on adventures ranks way up top. Going on adventures is basically hiking, but when you're Nigel and Caden, it's nothing short of being in an Indiana Jones movie. They come home and have all kinds of stories to share about what they did and what they saw. I love hearing those stories!
On this particular adventure, they headed up the gorge to the Oneonta Falls Trail. Oneonta Falls is really fun to get into. You have 2 options for getting back to the falls - hiking through the water, or basically rock climbing your way back there. Caden and Nigel did that and then they also hopped on the trail to just hike around back behind the waterfall.

I don't know why, but it was just really hard for Caden to muster up a real smile during the hike. I think he had too much on his mind, what with the rolling boulders to avoid, snakes to tame, bears to catch, and wolves to befriend ;)
Another attempt at a smile :)
Their view for lunch.......
They chose the water route to get back to the falls.
And Caden fell in :( But he didn't care. It was all just part of the big adventure!

And done! What a great day of adventuring :)
