What happens in rest time, stays in rest time....

....unless your Mom finds out :)

Caden, being 4, doesn't have to take a nap anymore, but he does have to have rest time. Sometimes he sleeps, sometimes he colors, and sometimes he goes WILD!!!!

The rule is, when you make a mess during rest time, you clean it up before you can leave your room. Caden is usually really good about following this rule, but on one particular day, he came out and went to the bathroom. I asked him if his room was picked up and he said, "Well, mom, I'm going to need some help." So, I went in to his room and found this:



Yikes! So, after dinner, before bed, we started cleaning. And of course, we ended up with this:

Who doesn't love going to bed in a super clean room?? What a sweet kid! I love you, Caden!

Splashin' in puddles...

Did you hear that here in Oregon, we had one of the rainiest months of June on record? Jealous? I didn't think so. The excess rain pushed us outside and had us splashing in puddles and starting our summer season in long pants and sweatshirts instead of shorts and tank tops. Oh well, it's sunny now. But, here's a little glimpse at how our summer started out!

And it's not Nigel, or me for that matter. It's Caden! He got a Transformers shaving set a while ago and he loves to shave his face :)

Taking a rest on his favorite spot.....Byron's dirty dog bed! Brock LOVES it. He rolls on it, plays on it and lays on it. Gross. But cute!

Macaroni and Cheese....

is the only solid food that Brock will feed himself. Otherwise, he's spoon fed every single bite of baby food. Ugh. I can't wait to be out of this stage. I would love for him to try new foods! But, in the meantime, I'll let him follow in the footsteps of his older brother and dad and be the world's biggest fan of macaroni and cheese!
