Hot Chocolate and another Daddy's Boy =)

My boys are crazy about hot chocolate. Love it. Ask for it daily. Although, from Brock, it sounds more like, "ahtach" Chocolate is tach and hot is ah. So cute. Anyway, they also love candy canes. Caden decided that he wanted to dip his candy cane in his hot chocolate. Mmm, one of the yummiest treats, peppermint hot chocolate! I love that it is the simplest little things that make them so happy!

Even though Nigel wasn't sure it was going to happen, I knew that eventually it would. And, it has. Mostly. Not all the time, but I know that will come soon, too. Brock is madly, head-over-heels, absolutely smitten with his Daddy. He's learned that Daddy plays differently than Mommy and he likes it! He loves to wrestle and he absolutely loves being scared which works out great because Nigel loves scaring! They are quite the team. Now, don't you think it's time we had a little Schnacky sister?!?! Maybe someday.......

Just like brother....

Brock wants to be just like his big "bara" (brother, in Brock's terms), Caden. He wants to eat what Caden is eating, play with what Caden is playing with, wear what Caden is wearing, do what Caden is doing, and, well, you see what I'm saying. He loves everything his brother does. So, it didn't surprise me when I walked in to Caden's room and found Brock all cozied up in Caden's bed. It didn't last for long because Brock's not one to just lay around, but he sure looked cute (and super tiny) in Caden's big bed. I'm DEFINITELY not ready for Brock to move up to a big boy bed. No thank you. I'll keep him as my baby for as long as possible =)

What's Brock wearing today?

Brock just likes to put everyone elses clothes/hats/shoes/slippers/whatever on. If it's not his, he wants to wear it. Sometimes it can make for some silly outfits!
Here's Brock in Mommy's slippers.....

And Brock decided to get some shorts out of his drawer and then found some of Caden's shin guards.

Even he's not sure what he's got going on here ;)

And, finally, a box. It's not clothes, but it'll do for Brock! I hope he grows out of this trend before he goes to school =)

Merry Christmas!!! Well, whatever.

We had a wonderful Christmas with both families. I forgot to take my camera to the Schnackenberg's house and I really need to get pictures from their camera! We had to stop by our house on the way to the Huffman's house, so I made sure to grab my camera. I figured I wouldn't bore you with gift opening pictures. Instead, I'll give you a giggle with the attempts at family pictures......
Jude would only agree to sit for pictures with a snack in hand (or in mouth)!
Crazy uncle Hans! But, it works with his silly nephews =)

And finally, after a long and wonderful day, we came home to this......
Oh well, it was TOTALLY worth it =)

SUGAR!!!!!

Well, sugar cookies =) What's Christmas without some iced, decorated sugar cookies? I started this cookie project thinking that my boys would want to help decorate. Caden wanted to help cut out the cookies and got bored about 1/4 of the way through the dough. Brock didn't care at all. So, it was me. Just me. Left to cut, cook, and decorate a whole bunch of cookies. Oh well. You know I really love this kind of stuff anyway =) I just really hope that someday soon my boys will WANT to be in the kitchen with me!

Snowmen! And women! Well, one woman. And two snowboys, and one snowman.

So helpful =)

I don't remember what I was doing, but I remember that Brock was playing so quietly in his room. And then, all of a sudden, he came out carrying my shoes, brought them to me and said, "Mama!!" So, I looked and this is what I saw.......
He had FILLED my shoes with baby powder. And as I went to look at his room, I found all of this......
And then this.......
I REALLY wish I would have taken a picture of him before I dusted him off and stripped him down. But, I didn't. Just imagine Brock, in these pants, COVERED in baby powder. It was hilarious. And how could I be mad? He was just helping me out =)

A boy and his dog....

We are so blessed to have Byron who will so patiently sit and let Brock drive cars on him.
Because he knows it means he'll get some love, too =) What a good dog, and what a cute baby!
P.S. Brock *loves* Byron. Every morning when we wake up, he comes out of his room and says, "DAWDIE!!!" And he says the same thing when we come home and Byron greets us at the door. When Byron tries to lick Brock's face, Brock giggles and tries to hide, but then immediately says, "Mo!" (more). Oh Byron. Thanks for being so great to us.

Picking the perfect tree.

Yep, I'm talking about a Christmas tree =) We had the best time picking out our tree this time! We skipped out on the tree for Brock's first Christmas, so this year (2010) we decided to decorate and have a tree and really get the boys into the Christmas spirit! So, we headed out to Allan's Tree Farm in Oregon City and made a wonderful memory. Caden was really into the sawing of the tree. He wanted to be the one to saw it down. Nigel let him "cut" down the very last little tiny bit of tree and he was thrilled!

My 3 very handsome guys =)

A very happy Brock =)

Starting the cutting!

Nigel got the tree down and then I said, "Wait! I want a picture too!" So, I am holding up the tree so I could have a picture with the boys and that way everyone knows I was there too! I'm usually behind the camera!

We carried the tree up to the front of the farm and the wonderful lady put it on a shaker. It shook that tree like crazy to get off all of the loose needles and anything that shouldn't be on there! That's the best invention ever!

The boys loved watching the tree getting a shake down =)

And, now, time to bundle it up! I love this machine!

Then we came home and I did this......

What color did you expect my Christmas decorations to be? ;)
