Caden's favorite new toy . . .

There's a commercial on tv for this toy called Better Batter Baseball. We've seen the commercial, we've been listening to Caden saying, "Mom, I sure wish I could have that Batter Batter Baseball." (Yes, he says batter batter instead of better batter.) He's been "asking" to have it for such a long time. Finally, Nigel and I decided that we would check it out. So, we found the toy at Fred Meyer and took Caden to get it. You should have seen his face. I wish I would have had my camera for that moment. We didn't tell him that he was going to get it, we just went to the store. He was THRILLED! We got it home, set it up, and it's great. We all love it. Hopefully the video works so you can see him playing it. It's so cute!

I'm sure you all know that Caden, like his daddy, is a bit of a dare devil. So, here's Caden leaping off of our back deck. Oh, I'm sure we'll have a few ER trips in our future, huh?

And what was sweet baby Brock doing while we were having all of our fun, you ask? Sleeping of course!

Naked Baby!

Well, I think Brock is pretty cute all the time, but naked, he's just to die for! He is definitely more chubby than Caden, although, he's really not that chubby. Just a few rolls here and there :) Brock turned 1 month old on Saturday, and it breaks my heart. I don't want the time to be going that fast. I want him to stay little forever :) We had a bit of a rough week - I got mastitis and was pretty uncomfortable for a little while, but we're healing up very nicely. He's starting to smile at us more and more and starting to coo just a little bit. Brock is the sweetest little guy, he just melts my heart!

Brock's first "real" bath!

Brock finally got to have a real bath! His cord stump fell off and his circumcision is all healed! He actually seemed to enjoy it and since then, has had a couple more, with more enjoyment! He likes his bath pretty warm and gets really mad only when he starts getting cold. But, he's so darn cute, I thought I'd let you all see him in his glory! My absolute favorite is the big picture in the collage of him frowning :) So sweet.


And this is Brock's hair after the bath - sticks straight up! I love his hair, it's so crazy and cute, just like he is :) I just can't get enough of his sweet face, either. Aww, he melts my heart!

Tired boys!

Since Nigel's been so helpful, he needs a break sometimes too. Being a daddy is tiring :) We're all a little more tired since Brock came along. But, we're hanging in there! Here's Nigel and Brock having a nap . . .

What a great daddy my boys have!

Well, my time has been spent nursing, holding, rocking, comforting, etc . . . lately. And, all of this attention has been given mostly to Brock. Caden has been such a patient and gracious big brother, not getting jealous and not demanding things from me. It's been so wonderful that Nigel has been home through all of this, too. He's been such a big, huge help. Nigel has gone above and beyond the call of duty and I am so grateful and Caden is certainly grateful. Nigel has made sure to keep me fed, watered and comfortable, all the while, keeping Caden more than entertained. Nigel, you are doing so much more than I expect and making this transition to 2 boys easier than I thought it would be. I'm sad that you have to go back to work on Saturday, we're all 3 going to miss you when you're there :) But, from the bottom of my heart, I want to let you know that I am so lucky to have you for my husband and these boys are blessed that you're their daddy. I love you! I am so lucky to have a house full of such wonderful boys!

Here's one of the ways that Nigel and Caden have been keeping themselves so busy while Brock and I are figuring eachother out. They built a beautiful birdhouse!

Here are some more pictures of our handsome new man. He's such a sweet baby. So calm and content and sweet. I just can't get enough of him, which, I guess, is a good thing because he can't seem to get enough of me, either :) He does like to nurse and he definitely loves his mommy. Caden really wants him to be doing something other than eating and sleeping :) He wants to play with him and feed him and everything else. Well, enjoy the pictures.
